Our Philosophy
We are an innovative company with a focus to assist each individual strive to reach their own specific goal. That goal may be to lose weight, to mentally feel better, to excel in a sport through development or becoming more mobile in your maturing years. We are there to help you every step of the way.

Aims
Health and Fitness Ireland want to:

To assist those needing help and direction in choosing an exercise option/plan and monitoring activities of the individual clients.
To assist those needing help and direction in choosing a nutritional plan and monitoring this plan closely.
To assist clients with a combination of both point 1 and 2.
To assist over / underweight children with maintaining a healthy weight as both groups have higher levels of emotional and behaviour difficulties – medicated by low self-esteem.
To assist adult and teenage clients reduce stress by burning off chemicals such as adrenaline and release endorphins – chemicals that have a natural calming effect to improve memory, sleep energy and focus.
To develop the athlete, the player, the bodybuilder etc go that extra yard and gain that extra 10% to push them further.
Meet The Team

Darren Murray
A father of two Darren is foremost a coach operating in a team sports environment for the past 26 years. He holds a masters in Sports Performance, a masters in Strength and Conditioning as well as having qualifications in Personal Training and Sport Psychology.Â
Darrens passion lies in developing players and athletes further. He has worked with many professional and international players and athletes. Many of his studies are in the area of Talent development and focuses on improving clients in areas such as speed, agility, endurance, power and strength.
Darren previously worked as a PT and also a manager in gyms and is an expert in designing and carrying out body toning, body sculpting and body building programs.

Muriel Cuddy
A mother of four Muriel is a vastly experienced personal trainer working in the Personal Training industry for close to 22 years. NCEF 1 & 2 qualified Muriel specialises in working with children that have health issues such as obesity. Muriels also has a strong client list from women of all ages, fitness levels and BMI's.
Our My Healthy Balance programme is a key passions of Muriel and she has invested a great amount time and dedication in producing a fantastic product for all clients. As a life coach she is ready to help all.
Muriel is a Strength and Conditioning Coach, and has a keen interest in Functional movement of children and how to improve mobility and flexibility in particular

Our Services
Our Services range from 1 to 1 personal health assistance sessions which include referrals from GP's and other health professionals, to Corporate Fitness Training, School Health and Fitness Education Program, Athlete/Player Development Sessions and FMS assessments.
Secondary School Educational Workshops
Workshop 1 is our Health, Exercise and Activity Training (HEAT) workshop that is aimed at the student that has little or no exercise in their lives.
Workshop 2 is our Player and Athlete Development workshop that allows the active student the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Workshop 3 is designed to improve movement patterns of all post primary student.​
All our workshops are certificate workshops.
FMS Athlete/Player Assessment
Our FMS workshops aim is to assess individual athletes/player’s movement patterns, imbalances or asymmetries. We use the Functional Movement Screen test to assess seven basic movement patterns to identify tightness and weakness within the body.
The FMS helps identify muscle asymmetries, tightness, weakness and other risk factors for injury by examining the mobility and stability of the hips, core, shoulders, knees, spine and ankles.
Coach the Coaches (Club)
This workshop is aimed at clubs to help coach the coaches to screen their athletes. We use the FMS protocol by teaching 7 of the basic movement pattern screens.
Its main purpose is to seek out poor movement patterns so you can retrain the body to move in the most stable, efficient way possible.
My Healthy Balance
SMART goal setting and a staff member motivated to get you towards that balanced lifestyle for a better quality life is what everyone wants and needs from life. Find out how healthy you are and the ways you can improve your health. Learn about healthy eating and various physical activities to enhance your life. With this approach we zoom in on the psychological elements need to sustain a heathier culture in your day to day lifestyle. Assistance with activity and dietary planning plus building motivation and self confidence are the bedrock for this particular and popular programme.
Personal Health & Fitness Training
Our company offers the service of 1 to 1 Personal Health & Fitness sessions to all, from pre adolescence to post adolescence children to adults to the more mature person. Many clients are referred by GP's and other health professionals. Our services include other variations such as mother and daughter sessions, small group sessions etc. We are experts in weight loss, toning your body, body sculpting and body building.
Athlete/Player Developmental Sessions
Every athlete and player deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. To achieve these desired outcomes a person needs expert advice and guidance. At Health & Fitness Ireland we intent to design an individual specific programme focusing on the needs of the athlete/player. After screening, we will look at movement mechanics with an initial emphasis on mobility and stability. Next will come the needs of the person in relation to their specific sports needs e.g. speed and agility for team sport attacking players.
